In order to solve the above-specified problem, a freezer comprises: a compressor; a four-way valve; a first air-side heat exchanger and a second air-side heat exchanger connected in parallel with each other; a first blower and a second blower for sending air to the first air-side heat exchanger and the second air-side heat exchanger respectively; a first expansion valve and a second expansion valve connected in series to the first air-side heat exchanger and the second air-side heat exchanger respectively; and a heat exchanger. In the case where the first air-side heat exchanger satisfies a defrost starting condition during a heating operation, supply of a primary refrigerant to the first air-side heat exchanger is stopped, and supply of the primary refrigerant to the second air-side heat exchanger is performed, and the first blower is run to defrost the first air side heat exchanger.
