To provide a refrigerator capable of smoothly performing drawing operation even when size of a storage container with drawer structure is increased by improving support strength of the storage container.
The refrigerator includes: a stockroom 3 formed in a refrigerator body 1; doors 2a, 2b for opening/closing the stockroom 3; a storage container 50 arranged in the stockroom 3; a base 60 for placing the storage container 50; a handhold part 51 formed on the front of the base 60; a rail 70 formed on an inner surface of the stockroom 3; movable bodies 67a (67) formed on the rear part of the base 60 and allowed to move on the rail 70; and a first support 71 arranged on a lower front in the stockroom 3 and supporting the base 60 movably in a cross direction. Height positions of the first support 71, the rail 70 and respective slide parts of the movable bodies 67a (67) and at least a partial height position of the handhold part 51 are configured so as to be similar or the same to/as a height position of the bottom of the base 60.
