Abstract:

To provide a freezing device including a compact expander, while enabling highly reliable operation.

The freezing device includes: a refrigerant circuit (11) connected to compressors (21, 22) and an expander (24) to perform a refrigeration cycle; and differential pressure adjusting means (27, 28, 80) for adjusting a differential pressure ΔP of a refrigerant between an inlet and an outlet of the expander (24) so as to prevent the operation of the expander (24) from entering a fault area.
