Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a friction material made by sintering for friction surfaces of a clutch and brake which has high resistance force against corrosive oils and prevents chemical reaction disadvantageous to the friction properties.

CONSTITUTION: This friction material contains powdery and/or granular metallic and non-metallic components, at least one component being non-ferrous metal, which is comprised of brass powders mainly of one or several kinds of alloys.
