Abstract:
To provide a friction stir welding apparatus and a friction stir welding method, capable of preventing trouble when a welding tool is pulled out from a workpiece.
When a welding tool 1 is pulled out from a workpiece W, a rotational direction of the welding tool 1 corresponds with a screw rotational direction where the welding tool is spaced from the workpiece W and a pull-out speed V (mm/s) of the welding tool 1 is represented as V=P×N/60, where a pitch of a screw groove is P (mm), and the number of revolution of the welding tool 1 is N (rpm).
