Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve side pressure resistance while keeping fuel efficiency.SOLUTION: In a friction transmission belt 1 including an adhesive rubber layer 4 kept into contact with at least a part of a core body 4a extended in a longitudinal direction of the belt, an adhesive rubber layer is composed of a vulcanized rubber composition including a rubber component, short fiber of average fiber diameter of 2 μm or more, and a filler. The rubber component may be chloroprene rubber. An average fiber length of the short fibber is about 1.5-20 mm. The short fiber may be aramid fiber. A ratio of the short fiber is about 0.1-15 pts. mass to 100 pts. mass of the rubber component. The filler may include silica. The filler may further include carbon black. A ratio of carbon block is 10-200 pts. mass to 100 pts. mass of silica. A ratio of the filler is about 30-100 pts. mass to 100 pts. mass of the rubber component. The friction transmission belt may be a low edge cogged V-belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
