Abstract:
To provide a friction-type braking device capable of securely removing foreign matter between a braking member and a braked member to stabilize braking capability.
A brake lining 3 has a braking face 3a coming into contact with or leaving from a braked body 4. The braking member 1 is provided with a ventilation passage 1a opened on the braking face 3a. One end part of the ventilation passage 1a is opened in a central part of the braking face 3a. The other end part of the ventilation passage 1a is connected with a suction device 5. Air stream is generated toward one end part of the ventilation passage 1a from around the braking face 3a between the braking face 3a and the braked body 4 by operating the suction device 5.
