Title:
FRICTION TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE SPEED CHANGE GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02168063
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable rational cooling of heat generating phenomenon through heat exchange and discharge of high temperature pressure oil by a method wherein an oil pressure chamber by which a taper cone is pressed and energized is formed in a cone, and pressure oil fed to the oil pressure chamber is discharged through a pore.

CONSTITUTION: A taper cone 2 rotated through a drive gear 7 of an input shaft 1 of a friction type continuously variable speed change gear A is pressed and energized against the small end side as it is cooled from the inside by means of pressure oil fed from an oil pressure chamber 34 formed at the interior of the cone, and is forced into pressure contact with a driven rotary body 9 with which it is brought into external contact, and a rotation force is reliably transmitted. Simultaneously, by shifting the driven rotary body 9 in the direction of an axis, the rotation speed of a rotary body 3 being an output shaft can be continuously variably changed. Oil in the oil pressure chamber 34 is injected through a pore 45 and circulated as an effect of promoting lubrication of a speed change mechanism B is produced. Even when an engine is stopped and pressure oil is rendered ineffective, by means of a mechanical energizing mechanism C, the taper cone 2 is pressed by a force being high enough to allow shifting of the rotary shaft 9.
