To provide a frictional agitation joint device capable of controlling a distance between a probe and a processing object part in a predetermined distance while offsetting unnecessary displacement of the probe in a high mode of a degree of freedom of an application with a simple constitution to various processing object parts being various in a shape of a part to execute frictional agitation joint.
A frictional agitation joint device comprises: a displacement detection device 20 for detecting displacement of a joint tool caused by deformation of an installation tool 52 in frictional agitation joint for moving the joint tool 30 to a processing object member by moving an arm 54 while agitating the processing object member by relatively rotating and also pressing-intruding the probe 32 to the processing object member W, and the installation tool is freely deformed more than the arm in the frictional agitation joint, and the displacement detection device comprises: a displacement sensor 22 fixed to the joint tool; and a standard member 28 fixed to a fixation part of the installation tool and the arm and imparting a standard position for detecting its displacement to the displacement sensor.
