Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional agitation tool capable of realizing the long service life of a shoulder and a long distance of a joinable section in one path, by restraining a clearance between a probe support hole of the shoulder and an agitation probe from expanding in fillet frictional agitation joining.SOLUTION: A frictional agitation tool for frictionally agitating a metallic member W, comprises an agitation probe 2 for agitating softened fluid metal while imparting frictional heat by rotating in a state of being pressed to the metallic member W and a shoulder 3 having a probe support hole 33 and sliding on the metallic member W while supporting the agitation probe 2 for rotating in the probe support hole 33, and an abrasion-proof coating film C is formed on a support sliding surface 36 with the agitation probe 2 of the probe support hole 33 of the shoulder 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
