Title:
FRONT AND REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR ABNORMALITY DETECTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3505815
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect abnormality of an acceleration sensor even if the output of a front and rear acceleration sensor is smaller than the acceleration of actual vehicle (gain small abnormality) and also even if it is larger than the acceleration of the actual vehicle (gain large abnormality).
CONSTITUTION: A comparative computing means (COMP1) calculates the ratio of body acceleration calculated from estimated body acceleration and output of a front and rear acceleration sensor (GS) when estimated body acceleration calculated from output of wheel velocity sensors (S0-S3) shows deceleration larger than a specified value. When the ratio exists within a specified range, the comparative computing means subtracts a first integrated value, but when the ratio exists on the outside of the specified range, it adds the first integrated value. A fail-safe means (FLSF) prohibits the use of the front and rear acceleration sensor if the first integrated value is larger than a first specified value, and prohibits anti-skid control if the first integrated value is larger than a second specified value which is larger than the first specified value.
