Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent influence of heat generated by an exhaust pipe of an engine to a steering gearbox, a harness, and pipes extending in the vehicle width direction.
SOLUTION: The engine 21 is housed in an engine room 15 of a body front part and the exhaust pipe 25 extended from a rear part of the engine is passed furthermore below a vehicle cabin 16. The steering gearbox 30, the harness 41 and the pipes 42 extending in the vehicle width direction are passed between the engine and a dash board 12. A body reinforcing bar 50 extending in the vehicle width direction is passed between the engine and the steering gearbox, and its both end parts are attached to a front side frame 71R. A thermal shield plate 60 is interposed between the exhaust pipe and the steering gearbox, the harness, and the pipes. A rear end part 61 of the thermal shield plate is attached to a bottom part of the dash board, and a front end part 62 of the thermal shield plate is attached to the body reinforcing bar.
