Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen apple capable of being easily eaten anytime and at any place without requiring a labor such as the peeling of the apple with a knife or the cutting of the apple into easily eatable pieces.
SOLUTION: The first frozen apple is obtained by vacuum-packing a halved apple piece subjected to a discoloration prevention treatment and a sweetener addition treatment with a waterproof bag 3 and subsequently freezing the packed halved apple piece. The second frozen apple is obtained by vacuum- packing one or several round sliced apple pieces subjected to a discoloration prevention treatment and a sweetener addition treatment with a waterproof bag and subsequently freezing the packed round sliced apple pieces. The third frozen apple is obtained by vacuum-packing one or several diced apple pieces subjected to a discoloration prevention treatment and a sweetener addition treatment with a waterproof bag and subsequently freezing the packed diced apple slices. The fourth frozen apple comprises the first, second or third frozen apple wherein the cores of the halved, round sliced or diced apple pieces are removed. The fifth frozen apple comprises the first, second or third frozen apple wherein the skins of the halved, round sliced or diced apple pieces are removed.
