Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system and an operation method for the same that enable cooling medium to surely flow through a cooling medium channel of each cell and can secure a sufficient output of a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A fuel battery system 30 has a lamination body 38 of membrane-electrode assemblies 33 and cells 36 formed of separators 34 having plural cooling medium channels 35, a fuel battery 29 having an entrance manifold 37 intercommunicating with entrances of the cooling medium channels 35, and an exit manifold 39 which intercommunicates with the exits of the cooling medium flow channels 35 at the lower side of the entrance manifolds 37 in the vertical direction, a cooling medium pump 41 provided to a supply path 42 for supplying cooling medium of a cooling medium tank 40 to the entrance manifold 37, a valve 44 provided to a feedback path 43 through which the end portion at the lowest downstream side of the cooling medium in the entrance manifold 37 intercommunicates with the cooling medium tank 40, and a controller 45 for controlling the valve 44 and the cooling medium pump 41 so that the flow rate of the cooling medium flowing from the entrance manifold 37 to the feedback path 43 is controlled according to the output of the fuel battery 29.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
