Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel economy monitoring device which suppresses increase of a manufacturing cost of a vehicle etc. due to addition of a fuel economy monitoring function or clearly informs a user of the vehicle etc. that travelling etc. which deteriorate fuel economy are repeated.SOLUTION: A fuel economy monitoring device 41 determines whether or not fuel economy is deteriorated due to repetition of travelling which consumes a lot of fuel on the basis of retardation of an ignition timing. The fuel economy monitoring device 41 includes: a retardation detection part 43 for detecting that an ignition timing at which ignition to mixed gas is performed in an engine 1 is retarded with respect to a standard timing; a first retardation time integration part 44 which integrates such a time that the ignition timing is retarded with respect to the standard timing on the basis of the detection result by the retardation detection part 43; and a fuel economy quality determination part 45 which determines the quality of fuel economy of the engine 1 on the basis of whether or not the integrated time integrated by the first retardation time integration part 44 exceeds a quality determination standard time within a time limit for quality determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
