Title:
FUEL DENSITY DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016050563
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving detection accuracy of fuel density without using a density sensor.SOLUTION: A fuel density detection device detects a waveform of pressure pulsation as actual characteristic indicating a pulsation frequency of the pressure pulsation produced on fuel pressure or a physical amount corresponding to the pulsation frequency on the basis of a sensor signal of a pressure sensor detecting a pressure of the fuel supplied to a fuel injection valve disposed in an internal combustion engine (S404). A reference characteristic indicating a reference frequency of a predetermined reference pulsation or a physical amount corresponding to the reference frequency is stored in storage means, and the fuel density detection device acquires a waveform of the reference pulsation as the reference characteristic from the storage means (S406). The fuel density detection device calculates a phase difference between the waveform of the reference pulsation and the waveform of the pressure pulsation (S408), and when the data determining a straight line indicating a relationship between the fuel pressure or a fuel temperature and the phase difference are acquired (S402:Yes), it calculates inclination of the straight line (S410), and detects the fuel density from the inclination of the straight line (S412).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
