PURPOSE: To shorten a starting time for an engine even when the engine has been suspended for a long time, and even when fuel is low in pressure in a space between a fuel pressurizing pump and a fuel injection valve.

CONSTITUTION: The device is equipped with a fuel pressurizing pump 4 delivering pressurized fuel 11 while being interlocked with a crank shaft 3, and with a fuel injection valve 15 which receives fuel 11 from the fuel pressurizing pump 4 so as to inject fuel into the combustion chamber of an engine 1. A fuel pressurizing means 41 is provided, which pressurizes fuel flowing from the fuel pressurizing pump 4 to a fuel injection valve 15 when the engine 1 is started.
