Title:
FUEL FEED SYSTEM FOR NATURAL GAS POWERED AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3400527
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a no loss fueling station capable of efficiently delivering LNG in safety with the specific temperature range, pressure range and operating condition.
CONSTITUTION: A fueling station comprises a vacuum insulated storage vessel 1 for storing a large amount of LNG at low temperature. The LNG is delivered to two fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8 of comparatively small volume, capable of raising and lowering the pressure and temperature of the LNG in accordance with the necessity in a system. The pressure and temperature in the fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8 are raised by delivering the high pressure natural gas vapor to the fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8 from a high pressure storage tank 40. The temperature and pressure are lowered by venting the natural gas from the fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8 and/or delivering the LNG to the fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8. The fuel conditioning tanks 6, 8 can be connected to a fuel tank of an automobile through a filling line for delivering the natural gas and LNG to the automobile and venting the natural gas from the automobile to the fueling station.
