To provide a fuel injection control method capable of carrying out initial setting of a very small injection amount even when implementing output enhancement of an engine, and capable of securing a small injection amount even after there is injection amount reduction due to aged deterioration of an injector.
The fuel injection controller is provided with an engine control means for controlling flame noise and exhaust emission of the target engine responding to an operating state of the engine by adjusting a small injection amount to be supplied to the engine 1. The small injection amount providing the target engine flame noise or exhaust emission responding to the operating state is changed. It is determined whether there is aged deterioration of the injector on the basis of actual engine flame noise or exhaust emission provided by the small injection amounts before and after change, and if there is deterioration, the small injection amount set in response to the operating state is corrected so as to provide the target engine flame noise or exhaust emission responding to the operating state.
