PURPOSE: To provide an improved fuel injection device for supplying fuel to a multicylinder compressed ignition engine.

CONSTITUTION: A rotation distribution fuel injection pump includes an injection plunger 14 housed in a hole 13, and a spill valve member 30 formed integrally with an actuator piston 29 housed in a cylinder 28. High-pressure fuel from the hole is housed in one end of the cylinder 28 such that the actuator piston 29 and the valve member 30 are moved away from a seat by opening an ON/ OFF valve 24. When spilled fuel is returned to the hole, other fuel flows to the hole by the ON/OFF valve 24, and this fuel flows from a fuel source 33 under pressure through a check valve 34 to the ON/OFF valve 24.
