Title:
FUEL INJECTION PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001289139
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce vibration of a fuel supply system and an impingement attack to a gallery generated by a spill occurring at the end of a fuel injection, in a fuel injection pump.

A damper 23 having a pressure receiving member 25, a compression spring (biasing spring) 24 and a spring clamp 26 in a damper body 23a is provided opposed to an opening in the side of a gallery 3 of a barrel port 4 in a housing 1a. An injection flow of a spill occurring during a short period of time toward the gallery 3 through the barrel port 4 passing a notched portion 12 at the end of the fuel injection of a high pressure fuel oil in a barrel 2 directly collides with the damper 23, and the energy of the spill is consumed as a deformation energy of the biasing spring 24 of the damper 24, thus suppressing a pressure pulsation in the fuel oil in the gallery 3. Since the injection flow of the spill collides only with the pressure receiving portion 25 of the damper 23, an impingement attack does not occur in the gallery 3 or barrel port 4.
