Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine while reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) in exhaust gas, and to reduce an amount of other contaminants in the exhaust gas.SOLUTION: A fuel injection device 100 includes a fuel injection valve 30 capable of performing pre-injection in which general fuel and emulsion fuel are injected, a fuel switching valve 36 for switching fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 30 between the general fuel and the emulsion fuel, fuel switch setting means 64 for setting switch between the general fuel and the emulsion fuel, and fuel injection control means 66 for switching from the general fuel to the emulsion fuel by the fuel switching valve 36 and performing pre-injection by the fuel injection valve 30 when switching from the general fuel to the emulsion fuel is set by the fuel switch setting means 64 during operation of an internal combustion engine 102.
