To provide a fuel pump which increases flow rate of a fuel by securing an sufficient passage cross-section inside a motor portion M.
By providing a second fuel passage 22 between an outer periphery of a stator core of an outer stator of the motor portion M and an inner periphery of a housing 1 in addition to a first fuel passage 21 formed between an outer periphery of an inner rotor of the motor portion M and an inner periphery of the outer stator, the sufficient passage cross-section is secured inside the motor portion M without increasing a gap formed between the outer periphery of the inner rotor of the motor portion M and the inner periphery of the outer stator and without adversely affecting a magnetic property of the stator core. The flow rate of the fuel (fuel discharge quantity) pressurized in pump chambers 16 and 17 and discharged to an engine side from a pump discharge port 25 is increased. A compact and high-efficiency fuel pump can be provided.
