To prevent a machine from stalling by fuel starvation by calculating an engine operating time between the time fuel remain rate exceeds a prescribed fuel remaining rate alarm value or below and the time point of fuel starvation, and displaying its engine operating time value on a display.
A fuel remaining rate is detected by a fuel sensor 4, its signal is inputted to a fuel remaining rate signal input unit 17 of a controller 3, and memorized in a fuel remaining rate memorizing unit 18. A fuel consumption per engine operating time is calculated by the controller 3. A fuel remaining rate of a present time point is calculated by dividing with a fuel consumption rate by means of calculating means 21 so as to calculated a time from a present time point to fuel starvation. In the controller 3, judgment is carried out on the basis of its time, and a signal for displaying the time value to the fuel starvation time point is outputted to the driving circuit 12 of a display panel part 9. It is thus possible to visually confirm a time from the present time to fuel starvation by a driver.
