Abstract:
To provide a fuel supply pump which can prevent damage or clogging of a metering valve or a pump main body, by trapping foreign matter contained in fuel which is pumped up and transferred by a feed pump.
The fuel supply pump comprises: the pump main body increasing the pressure of the fuel and supplying the fuel; the metering valve adjusting an amount of fuel transferred to the pump main body; the feed pump transferring the fuel to the metering valve; and a flange part holding the pump main body and fixing the pump main body to an internal combustion engine. A fuel filter is disposed in a fuel passage connecting between the feed pump and the metering valve.
