Abstract:
The fuel tank (1) has a gamma radiation-emitter that is arranged in the center of the fuel tank and is wrapped with scintillating fiber optics (2), where the photo sensors (8) are assigned to the fiber optics. The gamma radiation-emitter is made of a cobalt-60-source. The fuel tank is spherically formed. The fiber optics are combined to sections. The winding axis of the fiber optics runs through a tank outlet (6). The fuel tank is made from light metal, aluminum or titanium. The photo sensors are made of avalanche-photodiodes.
