Abstract:

To provide a fullerene derivative soluble to an alkoxybenzene solvent represented by anisole, a solution comprising the fullerene derivative, and a membrane comprising the fullerene derivative.

Disclosed is a fullerene derivative that has solubility to anisole under a normal pressure and at a temperature of 25C of not lower than 10% by weight and has a fullerene skeleton constituted of a partial structure represented by formula (I) wherein C1 is bound to a hydrogen atom or an optional substituent and at least C6 to C8 are bound to, for example, an anisole structure. In formula (I), each of C1 to C10 represents a carbon atom that constitutes the fullerene skeleton.
