Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functionally gradient material which prevents the generation of cracks, interlayer separation or collapse in shape by an inexpensive and simple way, by applying a freeze-drying method even in the case of a deposit having a small filling rate, a method and a device for manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: A rotation unit 8 is revolved via a horizontal rotating plate 9 when a first motor 10 is in operation, and is externally swung up in the bottom part side up to an angle θ (90°) by the centrifugal force. The unit 8 can rotate around its center axis with a second motor 32. A solid component is centrifugally separated by these rotation and revolution from the mixture stored in the mold frame of the unit 8 and is deposited in layers including a compositional transition part along the wall part of the mold frame. The deposits are rapidly frozen by a freezing fluid jetted from a nozzle 22, and then dried by the sublimation of the frozen water, to be further shaped and baked.
