To provide a furnace for processing waste battery cell capable of processing the battery cell required to make non-toxic state for its wasting through its once processing in a more easy, larger amount and less-expensive manner than that of the prior art.
There are provided a cylindrical vertical furnace body from which top end a carbonic solid fuel is loaded and a charging layer is formed in it; a gas blowing twyer arranged at a side wall of the furnace body, wherein carbonic solid fuel is ignited to cause an inside part of the furnace to generate reducing atmosphere of high temperature; a raw material loading port arranged at the furnace top end to feed both waste battery cells and flux into the furnace; a melted substance discharging port for use in discharging melted material generated in the furnace out of it; both a flue and a suction fan for guiding the combustion discharged gas out of the furnace; and a dust recovering device for separating and recovering dust containing volatile metal from the combustion discharged gas.
