Title:
FURNITURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3422249
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a table when it is folded by bringing the inner side of the folded legs close to the table main body, to effectively prevent a user's finger(s) from being caught in the gap between the surface of the base of a leg and the opposite member, to keep the height of tables piled up low when a number of tables are folded and piled up to be stored, etc., and to secure the safety of a user.
SOLUTION: The center of rotation of a leg 2 of this table is set inside of the axis line (n) of the folded leg 2, so that the folded leg 2 can be brought close to the rear surface of the table top 3. And protrusions 21 and 22 are formed where the leg 2 and a hinge cover 6 face to each other. The size and the position of the protrusions 21 and 22 are determined so as to prevent a user's fingers from inserting into the gap between them without blocking rotation of the leg 2.
