To provide a gage for detecting the feed of a workpiece, with which the gap between a workpiece placing surface and a detecting lever is reduced and which works reliably without increasing special working man-hour.
The gage 1 is used for detecting feed to a die, of the carried in workpiece, and includes: a base 2 which is attached fixedly in the peripheral part of the die; a supporting member 3 which erects on and is fixed to the base 2; the detecting lever 4 which is supported rotatably or rotatably and slidably on the side of the lower end of the supporting member 3; one or more arms 5 which are connected to the supporting member 3 or the detecting lever 4 rotatably or rotatably and slidably; and a proximity sensor 7 which performs ON/OFF working in accordance with the working of the detecting lever 4. The detecting lever 4 and the arm are constituted in such a manner that the lower end part of the detecting lever 4 nearly linearly moves by being abutted on the workpiece fed to the die, at a vertical movement equal to or less than 0.5 mm.
