To provide a game device that facilitates device miniaturization and facilitates execution of a player-versus-player game scene through simulation, based on operation input on the part of a player.
The game device comprises a field panel 9, which simulates a sports competition field, a card holding stand 10, which is positioned above the field panel 9, in a location that denotes a position of a competitor in the sports competition, and in a state that holds up a card 11, a card information reading means, which reads a card information that is recorded upon the card 11 that is held upon the card holding stand 10, and a game execution control means, which controls an execution of a game. The game execution control means further comprises a means that controls a player-versus-player game scene that is displayed upon a touch panel 6 in accordance with the card information that the card information reading means reads, in order that an execution by simulation in accordance with an operation on the part of a player runs for a preset predetermined number of iterations.
