Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a safely usable play device with simple structure by arranging a chain link embedded in an elastic polymer material so that the chain can be stretched elastically under a load. CONSTITUTION: A suspending chain 1 of a swing contains a steel chain 2 embedded in molded rubber of a circular outer crosssection, for instance, it is molded with links mutually pushed forward so that the end part 4 of a link 5 is separated from an adjacent link 6 in the relevant link 6. The suspending chain 1 is passed so as to saw links of the chain 2 with a string of a material such as vulcanized rubber or nylon fiber, the string is stretched tightly, the link is pushed to shrink unitizingly, the chain 2 is enclosed with unvulcanized rubber in the mold, and the rubber is vulcanized by heating and pressurizing.
