PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system that can make the play of a player to be influenced by the play of another player and vary the environment of a creature catching field.
SOLUTION: A virtual lake management section 310 manages a virtual lake. A player selects an angling place on a game machine connected to a host device through a network and, when place selection information is received, the host device sends angling place information notifying whether a play is permitted or not to the game machine. When the player stocks the lake with fish and stocking information including the player's message is received, personal release of fish is executed on the basis of the stocking information. On the basis of weather information of the real world, weather information of the virtual lake is varied in real time and fish shoals are managed on the basis of the weather information. Fish stocking is performed regularly in accordance with schedule information. Before regular stocking, parts of the lake that are to be stocked with fish, times when stocking will take place, and kinds of fish to be stocked are advertised to the player. Between the host device and the game machine, a specified information of image information and an incidental information characterizing the fish are sent and received.
