To provide a space-saving, low initial investment cost and low maintenance cost garbage collection system capable of reducing jamming and tangling of garbage.
A garbage collection system 1 includes: a garbage storage machine 5 having a cylindrical drum 8, a reception opening 9 on one side in an axial direction of the drum 8, and a discharge opening 10 on the other side in the axial direction of the drum; and a conveyance device 6 arranged on a downstream side of the garbage storage machine 5, for conveying upward garbage discharged from the discharge opening 10. The conveyance device 6 is a no-shaft screw conveyor including: a screw blade 17; and a cylindrical body 18 which stores the screw blade 17, and of which at least a side under the screw blade 17 has a shape extending along an outer diameter of the screw blade.
