To provide a winding machine for winding a coil in which resistance value variations are suppressed.

A winding machine forms a coil by winding wire to a winding core. The winding machine includes a resistance measuring unit for measuring a resistance value of a wound coil, and a tension adjuster for adjusting tension to be provided to wire based on the resistance value measured by the resistance value measuring unit. If the measured resistance value is high, the tension is reduced to make a diameter of the wire larger than that of a current state, and thereby the resistance value is lowered. Accordingly, the tension is corrected on the basis of the resistance value of the real coil, thereby winding the coil in which the resistance value variations are suppressed.
