To provide a garbage disposer surely drying garbage by automatically unlocking an agitator driving means even if it is locked.
The garbage disposer is composed in such a way that the agitator driving means is stopped on detecting locking of the agitator driving means when drying garbage containing much carbohydrate like boiled rice or noodles, the agitator driving means is reversely rotated by rotating the agitator driving means again after a prescribed time, heating by a heating means is stopped for a prescribed time and air is sent to garbage by an air blowing means. Further, the drying operation is stopped when continuously detecting the first prescribed times of locking of the agitator driving means during drying operation, or when detecting the second prescribed cumulative times of locking of the agitator driving means from the start of the drying operation.
