Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily taken out the garbage remaining in a housing vessel when a garbage treatment device stops on account of a fault, etc., and to eliminate the need for an excess space for this purpose.
SOLUTION: The housing vessel 10 has a heating means for heating the garbage and freely rotatably supports a revolving shaft of an agitating member rotated by a rotational drive assembly. The device subjects the garbage to a drying treatment by heating while agitating the garbage. The agitating member is turned by the drive assembly to automatically discharge the garbage into a container 17 out of the discharge port of the housing vessel. If the automatic discharge of the garbage by the agitating member is made unexecutable by a current interruption, fault, etc., a user removes the front panel of the garbage treatment device, inserts a tool T therefrom into the device (space A), holds the boss part 33b of a driven sprocket 33 fixed to the revolving shaft of the agitating member by its two chamfered parts 33b1, 33b1 and turns the agitating member by manually turning the tool T, thereby discharging the garbage from the discharge port into the container 17.
