Title:
SAMPLING RATE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3464913
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to speedily start fs conversion by determining the ratio of an input fs and an output fs more accurately and faster.
SOLUTION: This converter is equipped with 1st to 3rd frequency ratio detecting circuits 10 to 12 which can find frequency ratio data with difference precision. When an input clock(CLK) 7 is supplied, the frequency ratio detecting circuit 12 with low precision speedily detect which of 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz is the input fs and outputs corresponding accurate frequency ratio data 3 which is prepared beforehand, so that sampling rate conversion is started. Then the frequency ratio detecting circuits 11 and 10 having higher precision obtain more accurate frequency ratio data in sequence and then the initial value is corrected when necessary.
