Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of defects in which bulk materials are not filled sufficiently when manufacturing continuous rods.SOLUTION: A garniture device 6 is provided for use in the tobacco industry to manufacture continuous rods CR comprising bulk materials wound up with winding materials 101. The garniture device 6 includes a lower garniture portion 7, a garniture duct 9 formed in the lower garniture portion 7, a garniture belt 5 movable in the garniture duct 9 in order to carry the winding material 101 along the garniture duct 9, and an upper garniture portion comprising the winding materials for forming the winding materials 101 around the bulk materials 102. The garniture duct 9 comprises an inlet portion for converting the garniture belt 5 from a flat configuration to the U-shaped configuration, the U-shaped portion for guiding the garniture belt 5 into the U-shaped configuration, and an outlet portion for converting the garniture belt 5 from the U-shaped configuration into the flat configuration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
