PURPOSE: To suppress diffusion of gases generated by 'thermal decomposition, etc.' to the outside of a casting mold in the case of casting by using the casting mold contg. org. components.

CONSTITUTION: This gas absorbent material 11 in casting absorbs the gases 9 generated by thermal decomposition of the org. components contained in the casting mold 1. The gas absorbent material 11 is molded by adsorbing a liquid gas absorbent in a powder and granular material having water absorptivity and heat resistance.
