Abstract:
The present invention provides a recording paper that exhibits high adhesion, especially water-resistant adhesion, the recording paper being such that defects in the transfer of ink to printed matter and reductions in the adhesive force of the ink do not occur, and such that the quality of the paper does not change after blocking and/or printing. This recording paper has a base material comprising a thermoplastic resin film, and a resin coating arranged on at least one surface of the base material, wherein: in the surface of the base material that faces the resin coating, the value (O/C) of the compositional ratio of the number of oxygen atoms (O) and the number of carbon atoms (C) is 0.01-0.5 (inclusive); the resin coating contains a resin that is a reaction product of a cationic water-soluble polymer and a silane coupling agent; the silane coupling agent content of the resin coating is 15-60 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the cationic water-soluble polymer component; the resin coating does not contain thermoplastic resin particles; and the inorganic filler content of the resin coating is 9 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the cationic water-soluble polymer component.
