Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooling method by which gas to be cooled is flowed upward from a tower bottom part, then cooling water is sprayed to solid particles contained in the gas by keeping the solid particles suspended in a tower and the solid particles are collected from the gas after keeping the solid particles in contact with a gas flow for a specified time and further, the collected particles are circulated to the tower bottom part and used as a water evaporation medium during their circulation, and use combustion exhaust gas, for example, as the gas to be cooled and incineration ash contained in the gas to be treated, natural material particles such as sand or waste particles such as coal ash, for example, as the solid particles.
SOLUTION: The effective cooling of high-temperature gas can be achieved by collecting the particles contained in the exhaust gas and circulating the particles to the tower bottom part and using the circulating solid particles as the water evaporation medium. Thus the gas cooling device can be made compact.
