To provide a gas engine and an ignition timing control/storage device capable of sensitively coping with a variation in a surrounding environment by efficiently operating in response to the surrounding environment.
This ignition timing control/storage device 100 has a state detecting part 60 for detecting an operation environment of an engine, a control part 70, and a storage part 80 for storing map data 90. The state detecting part 60 outputs a state signal for indicating the detected operation environment to the control part 70. The control part 70 adjusts the ignition timing θign for igniting an air-fuel mixture in cylinders 42a to 42f. Here, the ignition timing θign being an index to its operation area is set as the representative ignition timing θrepr with an assembly of the operation environment in a predetermined range as an operation area. At this time, the map data 90 stores a plurality of representative ignition timing θrepr to a plurality of respective operation areas. The control part 70 calculates the updated ignition timing θnew from the adjusted ignition timing θign, and updates the map data 90 by substituting the representative ignition timing θrepr to the operation area including the detected operation environment with the updated ignition timing θnew.
