Abstract:
To enable metal additive manufacturing to be performed quickly and reliably, a gas used therefor, and a production method therefor.SOLUTION: A shield gas is used in additive manufacturing of metal powder by laser melting, the shield gas containing 2 vol.% or more and 20 vol.% or less of hydrogen gas and 80 vol.% or more and 98 vol.% or less of inert gas.
