Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce sticking of spatters and thermal deformation and to perform welding work for a long time by forming copper-aluminum alloy layers having limited aluminum concentration on the surfaces of copper or copper-based alloy gas nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: The copper or copper-based alloy gas shielded welding gas nozzles 1 and 4 are subjected to aluminum penetration treatment and the copper- aluminum alloy layers having 9-26weight% aluminum concentration are formed on the inner and outer peripheral surfaces thereof. Further, the reason why the aluminum concentration is limited is that sufficient hardness is not obtained when it is less than 9weight% and the alloy layers becomes brittle when it exceeds 26weight%.
