Abstract:
To provide a gas permeable mold capable suppressing a phenomenon that, upon application of a gas feed pressure casting, a part of a supply gas is short-circuited and infiltrated into a product part close to a sprue part, and a method where the generation of gas defects at the product part close to the sprue part is suppressed by using the gas permeable mold, thus a sound cast article is produced.SOLUTION: A gas permeable mold is obtained by matching an upper mold and a lower mold at a parting face, and at least comprising, as a cavity, a sprue part, a product part and a runner part stretched from the sprue part and connected to the product part, and in which the shortest distance between the product part closest to the sprue part and the sprue part is 10 mm or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
