Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a gas separation membrane wherein performance of the separation membrane is not easily decreased even if the surface becomes wet with a liq. such as water by constituting the membrane with a polymer of an unsatd. carboxylate of a specified formula with two double bonds or its prepolymer.
CONSTITUTION: The gas separation membrane is constituted of a polymer of an unsatd. carboxylate of a specified formula with two double bonds or its prepolymer. In the formula, -OR1O- is a lower alkylene glycol residue or a poly (lower alkylene glycol) residue with degree of polymn. of 1 to 24 and R2 and R3 are each hydrogen or a methyl group. To prepare this gas separation membrane, the two functional unsatd. carboxylate with two double bonds of the formula or a mixture of unsatd. carboxylate contg. this is held into a membrane-like condition and polymn. is performed under this condition. In this case, it is possible that the polymn. raw material is made into a prepolymer so as to be easily kept into a membrane-like condition and polymn. is performed by keeping this in the membrane-like condition.
