To improve ignition reliability of a gas turbine combustor, perform stable combustion, further reduce an amount of NOx emission of a dry type liquid low NOx combustor to reduce an amount of NOx generation, and provide an eminently increased life for a combustor liner through suppression of combustion vibration in the combustor.

A gas turbine 31, a turbine compressor 32, and a generator 33 are intercoupled through a turbine shaft 34. An air feed system 40 is provided to feed air to atomize liquid fuel to a combustor 36. The air feed system 40 is provided with a compressor 41 for atomizing liquid fuel having a shaft different from a turbine shaft 34. The compressor 41 for atomizing liquid fuel is coupled to a motor 42, serving as a drive machine, through a boosting gear 43. The motor 42 forms a number of revolution variable type and the number of revolutions is controlled through a motor control system.
