Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine, which is miniaturized without reducing thermal efficiency.
SOLUTION: Blades 2b of a turbine wheel 2a are covered with a cover 8, and blades 3b of a compression wheel 3a are covered with a cover 10. Labyrinth mechanisms 9, 12 are provided respectively between a turbine housing 4 and the cover 8 and between a compressor housing 5 and the cover 10. Thus, exhaust-gas leak from the space between the cover 8 and the turbine 4, and air leak from the space between the cover 10 and the compressor housing 5 are prevented, and a gas turbine of compact in size and high thermal efficiency can be realized without increase in relative tip clearance resulting from miniaturization of the gas turbine.
